That's according to WalletHub, which ranks Cedar Rapids 22nd compared to the 300 largest cities in the country. WalletHub uses 22 key indicators of market attractiveness to make its rankings including cost of living, real-estate taxes, and crime rate. Cedar Rapids' best category is affordability, ranking 4th. Des Moines also makes the list at 56th overall, while Davenport ranks 94th. WalletHub says the best city for first-time home buyers is Palm Bay, Florida. A full list of cities is available here.
