The National Weather Service in Omaha says hot and humid conditions will stick around through at least Friday and could be dangerous to those working outdoors.
The meteorologists along with medical professionals say make sure to stay hydrated and take breaks.
Seek the shade when possible;
A Heat Advisory is in effect until nine p.m. CDT Friday for eastern Nebraska into western Iowa, including Omaha/Council Bluffs and Lincoln with Heat index values up to 108.
