(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and Aquarium has a new baby elephant. The zoo says the calf was born around 6:30 a.m. Sunday to matriarch Jayei. She's the fourth baby elephant born at the zoo since January 2022. The Elephant Family Quarters is staying closed so the mom and baby can bond. The outdoor yard is still open and the baby has access to that area.
