DES MOINES, Iowa -- Rain across Iowa last week--some of it heavy--is easing drought conditions a bit.
This week's US Drought Monitor map shows less extreme and severe drought in Western Iowa, with a reduction in moderate drought in the southwest part of the state.
There's still a patch of extreme drought in Southeast Iowa, with a band of severe drought Eastern Iowa.
Much of Central Iowa is still in near-drought this week.
All of Iowa is still under drought or near-drought conditions.
