(Washington Co., NE) -- The sheriff's office in Washington County says the death investigation near Fort Calhoun is now a homicide investigation. Investigators say 71-year-old Linda Childers was found dead in a home on County Road 43 north of Fort Calhoun around 1:20 a.m. Monday. They say they're currently in the process of looking for the woman's car, which was stolen from the scene. It's a burgundy 2010 Chevy Equinox with Nebraska license plates 29-K826. Anyone with information on the case is asked to call the Washington County Sheriff's Office at 402-426-6866.
