(Des Moines, IA) -- Animal Rescue League of Iowa has been pressing hard for adoptions in order to move dozens of pets out of its shelter spaces.
ARL in a Facebook post on Saturday called the need "urgent" .
They had hoped to move 150 pets by Monday, but it's unclear if they've reached that goal.
This can often mean there has been a large seizure of stranded or mistreated animals somewhere that need help.
More information can be found on the shelter's website.
