(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Police Department says it's looking for a suspect charged with fraud.
Police say they're still searching for 42 year-old Sherry Jacobs, who's charged with filing fraudulent COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance fund applications. Investigators say more than $64,000 was illegally obtained from those applications. One other suspect is already in custody.
Jacobs is charged with:
- 3 counts of 1st Degree Theft
- 2 counts of Identity Theft
- 2nd Degree Theft
Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to contact Des Moines Police Department Detective Roth at (515)237-1314. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa.
