(Rock Island, IL) -- A motorcyclist is dead after crashing into a car in Rock Island.
The crash happened at around 6:45 p.m. Friday, September 8th at the intersection of 43rd Street and 7th Avenue.
Police say a 33-year-old man riding a Kawasaki motorcycle eastbound on 7th Avenue struck a 34-year-old man driving a Hyundai Elantra that was going northbound on 43rd Street.
Both drivers were sent to UnityPoint Trinity Hospital, where the motorcyclist died.
The driver of the Hyundai is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Police are still investigating.
