The harvest season in Nebraska is underway, and that means more tractors, combines, and grain-hauling trucks on highways and roads.
The Nebraska State Patrol reminds motorists of the increase in the volume of rolling agriculture equipment.
“Harvest is a busy season across Nebraska, and our ag producers are on the move, so all motorists should stay alert for slow-moving ag implements,” said Captain Martin Denton, Commander of State Patrol Carrier Enforcement. “Due to their dimensions and loads, operator visibility is often reduced, so we remind drivers to be cautious when approaching, following, or attempting to pass farm vehicles."
The State Patrol's Cody Thomas says alot of grain is moving to market in semi's with covered trailers, increasing that level of traffic.
