(Bettendorf, IA) -- Sivyer Steel says they are not re-opening after suffering a fire last week, leaving almost 100 workers jobless.
According to a Facebook post from The Bettendorf Fire Department, crews responded to reports of a structure fire Monday, September 18th at Sivyer Steel castings, LLC.
Upon arrival, crews saw smoke and determined the fire began inside the building and spread throughout.
All workers inside the building at the time were evacuated.
No injuries were reported.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
According to one worker who is now displaced, says upper management was not informing employees if they still had a job.
