(Davenport, IA) -- A Davenport alderman is suing his co-worker after being accused of using racial slurs. Last week, 5th Ward Alderman Tim Kelly accused 4th Ward Alderman Robby Ortiz of using racist comments multiple times, and now Ortiz wants a chance to clear his name. On Monday, Ortiz said he is suing Kelly. He said he hopes the lawsuit will uncover the truth, as he claims he never used racist language towards Kelly. Davenport Mayor Mike Matson said at the September 27th meeting, that he will create a task force to investigate Kelly's claims.
