(East Moline, IL) -- A man is dead after being hit by a car in Moline.
According to the East Moline Police Department, police responded to reports of a car vs. pedestrian accident in the 800 block Avenue of the Cities.
Upon arrival, police located 56-year-old Richard B. Hanson already being treated by the East Moline Fire Department.
Hanson was then transported to Genesis-Illini hospital in Silvis where he was pronounced dead by the Rock Island Coroner's Office.
He was sent to the hospital and was later pronounced dead by the Rock Island County Coroner's Office.
The crash is still being investigated.
