(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines East High School's head football coach is resigning.
Des Moines Public Schools Director of Communications Phil Roeder announced today that Tyrone Tyler has resigned his position as head coach. East High has yet to win a game this year, with a record of 0-7. Assistant Coach Heath Hill will take over as interim head coach for the rest of this season as the search for a new head coach begins.
East High will play on the road at Ottumwa tonight.
