(Moline, IL) -- CVS stores in Moline and Davenport will shut down before the year ends.
The drugstore chain says they are closing their Moline location on 41st Street on November 29th and will also close down their Davenport location on N. Division Street on December 7th.
According to CVS, the decision to close down the stores stores is based on a variety of reasons including local market dynamics, population shifts and a community’s store density.
After the closures, there will still be six remaining CVS locations in the Quad Cities.
Prescriptions at the Moline spot will be sent to the CVS in Rock Island at 2617 18th Ave while the Davenport prescriptions will be sent to 1655 W. Kimberly Road.
CVS said in 2021 they would close about 900 stores by next year.
