(Cedar Falls, IA) -- There's some chatter building about a women's college basketball game next month in Cedar Falls. The University of Northern Iowa women's team, which has been voted the pre-season favorite in the Missouri Valley Conference, will host the top-rated Iowa Hawkeyes and Caitlin Clark November 12th. The game is sold out. UNI says that's a first for the women's program. All of the Hawkeye women home games are sold out. Pre-season polls put the Iowa women leading the Big Ten Conference and in the top 3 nationally.
For the second consecutive year, the University of Iowa has been selected as the preseason Big Ten Conference favorite. Hawkeyes’ senior guard has been chosen as the 2023-24 Big Ten Preseason Player of the Year, marking the third consecutive season the coaches have chosen Clark for the honor.
