(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A man is in custody accused of sexually enticing a minor.
According to Cedar Rapids Police, 27-year-old Walter Conkright of Cincinnati, Ohio was detained Wednesday, October 25th at around 6:48 p.m. after they were contacted by Bikers Against Predators, a non-profit organization, to capture online child predators.
One member with the organization posed as a 13-year-old girl on a dating app called MeetMe, where Conkright invited the member to a Residence Inn on 33rd Avenue SW.
They said the man was attempting to meet and engage in illegal sexual activity with the group member posing as a minor.
Cedar Rapids officers met with the group before confronting Conkright and booking him into the Linn County Correctional Facility.
He is charged with Enticing a Minor- Under Age 16.
Conkright's hearing is scheduled for November 3rd.
