(Ankeny, IA) -- Drivers traveling south between Iowa 210 south of Huxley and Northeast 36th Street in Ankeny will soon have find an alternative route as there will be a major road closure.
According to the Iowa Department of Transportation, the southbound lanes of interstate-35 will be closed from 8:00 p.m. Thursday until 5:00 a.m. Friday, as crews conduct emergency repairs.
The southbound rest stop near Elkhart will also be closed during that time.
Drivers will be detoured around the work zone using NE 36th Street, U.S. 69, and Iowa 210.
