(Des Moines, IA) -- Murder charges are being filed against a Des Moines man two years after police say he caused a deadly hit-and-run crash. Twenty-four-year-old Davossi Wisdom is charged in connection with the death of 32-year-old William Kline in January, 2022. Police accuse Wisdom of hitting Kline and then repeatedly running over him. Kline died in the hospital. Wisdom is already serving time in prison for convictions of four felonies.
Police were called to the 700 block of E. MLK Jr. Parkway January 12, 2022, to investigate a report of a pedestrian hit by a vehicle. Investigators determined the driver who hit the victim fled the scene.
Hours later, police located the vehicle involved, a 2004 Chevy Cavalier, which investigators say had been stolen.
Today, November, murder and theft charges were filed against Davossi Wisdom.
