(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island Fire Department is down a couple of fire trucks. Two twenty year-old department trucks were deemed unsafe and removed from service.
Rock Island Fire Chief Bob Graff tells WQAD News 8 that residents shouldn't be concerned about response time. The department is borrowing a fire truck from Moline, and a new fire truck is expected to be delivered in early 2024.
