(Rock Island, IL) -- Half of Rock Island High School now has normal heat. Some classrooms were as cold as 49-degrees on Tuesday.
The School District's interim superintendent says crews continue working to repair the school's boiler system. He says it's a complicated HVAC system due to building additions over the school's 86 year history.
Students were sent home during an August heat wave due to a lack of adequate cooling.
