(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A person who died from an apartment fire in Cedar Rapids on Tuesday has been identified.
Crews responded to reports of a fire at around 2:15 p.m. in the 200 block of 19th Street NE.
Officers say 71-year-old Wasfia Elshennawy died at the hospital due to smoke and fire-related injuries.
The Cedar Rapids Fire Department posted a video on social media showing firefighters breaking windows on the second and third floors to help rescue residents.
The cause of the fire is still being investigated.
