(Davenport, IA) -- Davenport's 1.6-million dollar settlement with departing City Administrator Corey Speigel may not be a done deal.

City Council has added an agenda item to today's meeting saying it may consider ratifying the agreement in open session. Retiring City Attorney Tom Warner had said that city council sanctioned the agreement, and didn't need to discuss the matter in open session.

In October, the city agreed to pay Speigel, and two other employees who left jobs with the city citing harassment from elected officials, to avoid a trial.
