(Des Moines, IA) -- A Des Moines man is in custody in connection with an arson case.
Des Moines Police arson investigators say a house in the 1700 block of Forest Avenue fire that injured two people on Tuesday was set intentionally. The investigation led to the arrest of 36 year-old Otis Richardson on Thursday. He's now facing multiple charges including:
- 1st Degree Arson
- Possession of an Incendiary or Explosive Device
- Violation of a No Contact Order
One of the victims, a 53 year-old male, was treated for minor injuries, while the other victim, an 85 year-old female, remains hospitalized critical condition. The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
