(Mason City, IA) -- A Mason City man is in custody, accused of murder. Police found the body of 63-year-old Leroy White Monday afternoon in a home at 1916 South Grover Avenue in southwest Mason City. Fifty-one-year-old Fred Olson of Mason City has been charged with First Degree Murder in White's death.
The Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation was called in to assist MCPD with the investigation and to process the scene. The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office and the North Central Iowa Narcotics Task Force Special Operations Group also assisted with the investigation.
