(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Several private schools in Cedar Rapids are raising their tuition for next year. Administrators say several factors play into that decision
Jeff Pospisil, Principal at Cedar Valley Christian School tells Iowa's News Now that several factors lead to the decision including inflations, teachers salaries, and what parents can afford to pay. He says Cedar Valley's tuition may rise 6% next year.
Summit Schools say they are increasing tuition by $6,000. That's $2,000 more than the national private school average.
The average tuition for private schools in Iowa is $5,500 dollars a year.
