(Fort Dodge, IA) -- A person has died after being shot in Fort Dodge. Police were called to the 1600 block of 14th Avenue SW after 5 o'clock this (Friday) morning and found a male shot, in a yard. Police gave medical care until the paramedics arrived. The individual was transported to Unity Point Regional Medical Center, where he later died.
Police say detectives are working to determine exactly what took place this morning.
The deceased male’s name will not be released until next of kin are properly notified.
