(Urbandale, IA) -- One man is dead and three adults are hurt after an assault in Urbandale. Police were called to the 27-hundred block of 82nd Street (north of Hickman Road) around 5 o'clock Wednesday morning. Officers found three injured adults, two of which were taken to local hospitals.
Detectives determined the suspect in the assault was a relative. An arrest warrant for attempted murder was issued for 59-year-old David Makeeff of Des Moines. Makeeff was found dead of an apparent suicide late yesterday (Thursday) afternoon after barricading himself into a hotel in the 48-hundred block of Fleur Drive in Des Moines.
