(Clinton, IA) -- A man is in custody facing a murder charge after a man's death in Clinton, early Sunday, December 31st. Police were called to an apartment in the 2700 block of S. 18th Street for a report of a man who had been shot. Police say the man, whose name has not been released, was transported to MercyOne Hospital in Clinton, where he died.
Marquis D. Winston (33) has been charged with the following:
First Degree Murder
Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Parole Violation

Winston, of Davenport, was convicted on drug charges and sentenced to 10-years in 2020.
