(Rock Island, IL) -- The City of Rock Island is offering free Christmas tree collection beginning next week.
According to the city, tree pickup takes place from January 8th through January 19th.
Christmas trees should be placed on the resident's normal garbage set out point on their regular collection day.
Ornaments, lights, and stands must be removed, and the tree must be placed at least 3 feet away from garbage carts.
Separate trucks will be picking up the trees.
