(Des Moines, IA) -- One person is under arrest facing felony charges related to a home invasion on Des Moines' south side.
Des Moines Police say officers responded to a reports of a home invasion in the Wakonda South neighborhood Wednesday morning. A person in the home told police a child was woken up by a man climbing in through a window. Investigators say the man eventually fled, climbing back out the window. He was later taken into custody after officers found him in a nearby backyard.
Police have identified the suspect as 29 year-old Ram Rai. He's facing charges of 2nd Degree Burglary and Possession of Marijuana.
