(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines City Council decides on holding a special election to fill the city council seat left open by new Des Moines Mayor Connie Boesen.
The Des Moines City Council decided Monday that a special election will be held instead of appointing someone to fill the seat temporarily. The date for the special election has yet to be set, but March 5th is the earliest it could be held.
