The Omaha Mayor's Office gives an update on solid waste collection slowed by the winter weather of the last two weeks.
The City says F-C-C drivers are being allowed to work over the federal limit of 70 hours per week because of the weather State of Emergency declared by the Governor earlier this month.
F-C-C has added and will continue to add additional temporary workers to help collect the additional bags of trash that can be set out with carts for collection.
And, City of Omaha Solid Waste and Street Maintenance employees are helping pick up collections in hard- to -reach locations and addressing snow and ice issues that may remain on some streets to provide safe access;
F-C-C expects to be back on schedule by the end of the week.
