(Moline, IL) -- Daniel McNeil will be the 6th Ward on the Moline City Council.
McNeil, who currently serves as the executive director of Spring Forward, a Rock Island nonprofit that provides after-school programs for children in the Quad Cities, was approved Tuesday, January 23, by a unanimous vote.
The city says he will be officially sworn in February 8.
McNeil will replace Pat O'Brian, who passed away last month.
McNeil was recommended by Moline Mayor Sangeetha Rayapati.
