(Davenport, IA) -- Davenport police have a man in custody in connection to a homicide investigation
According to a news release, police arrested 41-year-old Wade S. Gittings January 27th and charged him with Murder in the 1st Degree.
Friday, January 27th, police were called to the 7200 block of Volquardsen Avenue at around 9:07 p.m. for reports of shots fired with a victim.
Upon arrival, officers located a deceased male that had died due to apparent gunshot wounds.
Police say an initial investigation indicates an altercation between family members escalated, leading to shots being fired.
No other information is being released at this time.
