(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids is one step closer to having a new police chief.
The Civil Service Commission met Tuesday to narrow the list to four candidates. A police Lieutenant in Nebraska; a police captain in Las Vegas; a deputy chief in El Paso, and the only internal candidate, CRPD captain David Dostal.
The Cedar Rapids Gazette reports that the list of candidates will be forwarded to the city manager to decide who will be invited to a community meet and greet, and interviews on February 7th.
