Woman Sent To Hospital From Fire In Cedar Rapids

(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Cedar Rapids Fire Department is investigating a fire that left one woman hospitalized.

Fire crews were called to Oakland Road NE in Cedar Rapids Tuesday around 3:45 a.m. for reports of a fire.

Upon arrival, crews discovered one apartment on fire and were able to quickly extinguish it.

The rest of the apartment complex sustained minor smoke damage.

Firefighters did not say what caused the fire, or the what the woman's current condition is.
