(Rock Island, IL) -- The Rock Island Fire Department has a new ride. A new state-of-the-art fire engine is being put in service out of the Ridgewood Road station.
The truck was built in Alexis, Illinois, just north of Monmouth.
The RIFD is expecting another new fire truck sometime in the Spring.
The department recently had to borrow a fire truck from Moline when one of their older trucks was deemed unfit for use.
