(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- The Linn-Mar School Board is accepting applications for its recently vacated seat.
Matt Rollinger resigned from the board last Friday while he had more than a year left on his term.
The deadline to apply for the position is February 21.
The board plans on appointing someone to the role on February 26.
They will serve the remainder of the term until the next school board election in November 2025.
The community could submit a petition to hold a special election for the seat if it's turned in by February 16.
