(Davenport, IA) -- An Iowa ballpark has been nominated as one of the country's best.
A USA Today panel chose Modern Woodmen Park in Davenport as one of twenty venues vying for the title of best minor league ballpark in America. The stadium, which opened in 1931, won the title in 2013.
Modern Woodmen is known throughout baseball for its scenic location on the banks of the Mississippi River in downtown Davenport beside the Centennial Bridge.
