(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- Cedar Rapids residents have a chance to sample what local restaurants have to offer as the 12th Annual Restaurant Week kicks off today. The event is more than just about the food.
Coady Sierra with the Cedar Rapids Metro Economic Alliance, organizers of Restaurant Week, says over 60% of restaurants in Cedar Rapids are locally owned and operated. When you dine out locally, you're supporting the small business economy in Cedar Rapids.
Nineteen local eateries are participating in Restaurant Week this year. You can see the list here.
The event runs through next Sunday the 25th.
