(Marshalltown, IA) -- One man suffered severe burns after a garage fire in Marshalltown early Saturday. According to the Marshalltown Fire Department, the man was burned while trying to remove items from the burning building, and has been transported to University of Iowa Hospitals and clinics in Iowa City for further treatment. The Fire Department says the fire was caused by flammable liquids being stored too close to a heat source, and that a wood stove had recently been installed in the area where they believe the fire started.
