(Des Moines, IA) -- A former Des Moines pastor pleads guilty to indecent exposure.
Police say 48-year-old Jose Artero Flores, a former pastor at Palabra Viva Iowa, went to a female congregation member's home in November of 2022 and exposed himself.
He was charged in early 2023 with assault with intent to commit sexual abuse and sexual exploitation by a counselor, but reached a deal with prosecutors in February and pleaded guilty to one count of indecent exposure.
Artero Flores was sentenced Monday and will serve two years of probation and will have to register as a sex offender.
