(Rock Island, IL) -- Prosecutors want a suspected arsonist kept in jail.

The Rock Island State's Attorney's Office says Matthew Wooddell, one of three men accused of setting the February 24th Rock Island Livestock Auction Barn fire, is a threat to the community.

Under Illinois' new bail reform law, prosecutors have to make the case that Wooddell is dangerous enough to be kept behind bars.

Wooddell, and two others are accused of setting the blaze that destroyed buildings over a three block area, killed one cow, and displaced 23 others.

He's back in court on Friday.
