Davenport City Hall Accused Of A Lack Of Transparency

(Davenport, IA) -- Several people at a Davenport Committee of the Whole meeting said there's a continued lack of transparency at City Hall.

Speakers accused Mayor Mike Matson Wednesday of acting alone to forge agreements to see two interim city positions receive $50,000 retention bonuses.

The two positions include the new interim administrator and interim corporate counsel.

The Council voted to review the deals at next week's regular meeting.
