(Des Moines, IA) -- The Des Moines Police Department is releasing the identity of the man killed in a single-vehicle crash Sunday evening in Des Moines.
DMPD says 30 year-old Jonathan Ruiz died in a crash on the city's south side a little after 10:45pm Sunday. Investigators say the vehicle veered off the road, hit a utility pole, and rolled. Ruiz was rushed to an area hospital but later died of his injuries. A 13 year-old passenger was hurt and taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
