(Des Moines, IA) -- Des Moines Police are identifying the victim of the city's first homicide of the year.
Police say 18 year-old Jacob Brown died of his injuries after a shooting at an apartment complex located at 1405 SE 1st Street in Des Moines late Tuesday night. Three other victims remain hospitalized. Police say they believe the shooting was a targeted incident. So far, no arrests have been made.
Police say they do not believe there is an ongoing danger to the public, and investigators are continuing to review evidence in the case.
