(Dane County, WI) -- Police are releasing more details about a series of crimes that stretched from Dubuque to Wisconsin.
The Dubuque County Sheriff is investigating 38 year-old Alexander Grunke as a suspect in the death of his ex-girlfriend 32 year-old Tana Poppe.
Investigators say Grunke was also having a relationship with Poppe's thirteen year-old daughter.
Dane County Wisconsin police say the two fled with Poppe's five month-old baby, dropping the infant at a home near Madison.
Police believe the thirteen year-old died of complications from diabetes after fleeing into the woods. Grunke committed suicide after a standoff with police.
Court documents show Grunke is a registered sex offender who tried to abduct the thirteen year-old in January.
