Two Dead After Wrong-Way Crash Early Saturday

(Omaha, NE) -- A wrong-way driver is blamed for a head on crash on I-80 near 24th in Omaha early Saturday morning. Police dispatch reported 4 people were taken to local hospitals, one of them critical with CPR in progress. Omaha firefighters rescued one person who was pinned in the wreck. A fifth person died at the scene. 

Police say the driver of an SUV heading the wrong way is being treated for injuries. That driver faces multiple charges including two counts of motor vehicle homicide, and a charge for driving under the influence (DUI).
