(Cedar Rapids, IA) -- A judge will now decide the fate of Curtis Padgett.
Closing arguments were made yesterday in the first-degree murder case accusing Padgett of killing his former neighbor Dennis First in 2007.
Prosecutors contend the evidence shows Padgett committed the crime. Defense attorneys say the evidence is circumstantial.
Padgett opted for a bench trial, so a Linn County judge will now decide the outcome.
