(Davenport, IA) -- A church was damaged, and power lines were downed on Illinois Route 17 in Aledo as severe storms rolled through the QCA late Tuesday.
National Weather Service crews will be investigating spotter reports, and video posted online, of a tornado on the ground near both New London, and Mediapolis, Iowa north of Burlington.
Meteorologist Tom Phillip with the National Weather Service said forecasters had to take shelter themselves as storms passed over the Davenport Municipal Airport.
